2024 is the Year the Gen-X Texan Gets Busy

Howdy readers!

First, I want to thank each of you who visits the site and follows The Gen-X Texan Facebook page, Instagram account, X account, and YouTube channel. It is because of you that I am motivated to bring forth content. It is because of you that makes this fun.

When I created The Gen-X Texan, I had every intention of bringing regular content to you. The original goal was to publish 3-5 articles or videos on the site. Unfortunately, that did not happen due to unexpected challenges I faced through the fall of 2023. I won't make excuses for the lack of production, but I want to share the reasoning behind it with you.

2024 is going to be different. First, as many of you may know, I am finishing my degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at the University of North Texas. This is my last semester, as I will graduate on May 11. Furthermore, I have only one class left, which, funny enough, is Spanish. Due to the course load, I will have more free time to pursue my writing and the activities behind it.

Second, I have reset expectations for publishing. Instead of shooting for 3-5 pieces a week, I have decided to share content ad hoc, with the expectation of producing at least one piece a week to keep the site and its linked social media moving. As I get into a smoother routine, I expect the content to increase.

Third, and most importantly, I want to share my observations of the world from the perspective that can only be brought to you from that of a member of Generation X and of a Texan. There are lots of ways to experience life, so I'll share my views for you to ponder and perhaps discuss.

Look for more content this week!
